Temporary Summer
2017
Hand shredded silk flowers, wood, mirror
As a part of the exhibition “Spell,” Dillon + Lee | New York, New York
A site-specific sculptural installation, Temporary Summer replicates the exact dimensions of Hur’s framed drawings Horizontality while reflecting the ephemeral environment of the gallery - the greenery outside the window, the gallery’s colonial interior, and the viewers. Hur’s carefully lays her signature material, hand-shredded silk flowers on the mirror’s reflective surface, alluding to the temporality of season and site.
