I was born in Taegu, South Kore as the first daughter of Woo Hur and Soon-Ok Lee. At the age of 13, I moved to the United States.

I year to re-connect with my grandmothers - mothers of my father and mother - before they pass away. My grandfathers, uncles, aunts, and a cousin passed away while I was in the States.
My inability to attend their funeral services frustrated my strong tie with the family. A physical and emotional distance yielded detached acknowledgment over the death of my relatives.

I never asked of my grandmothers' youth.

I want to spend time with them,
hear stories of their long years,
archive their photos,
record their voice, and
do something special with them.



My goal is to raise 3,500 dollars for this project.
